We are playing hardball if that's the case. I don't know, I think it may be better for us to keep Gomes over Big Al. Gomes is NBA-ready now, a better player than Big Al as of now (despite Al's potential) and was basically a veteran-rookie last year lol. Not to mention Al's ankle problems are continuing. But Gerald is what worries me. Please don't give up on Gerald Green!

I think we keep Big Al over Ryan. He has the potential to be a great player, and if nothing else, he will still be solid in the next few years. He's more a low post threat. I'd hate to give up Gomes and everything he brings, but i think i'd rather give him up than Al. I really have faith in Al right now.

Gomes is solid NOW and will only improve. Why risk an injury prone young PF with unfulfilled potential over an NBA-ready young guy who went to college for 4 years and played GREAT last year.

I think the logic is because they would be adding such a proven player in AI it would be easier to take a risk on Big Al living up to his potential. It would sure take some pressure of Al to be an impact player with Iverson around. As exciting as it would be to have AI I think I would rather stay with the young guys. I think they do have a chance to win now with this roster. If Ratlif can stay healthy, the same goes for Wally, I think they have enough veterans to win some games and make the playoffs.
