My friend got some comps and invited us out to see Raw at the Scotia Bank Centre in Ottawa on Monday. First time I'd seen a televised wrestling show live. The dark match (pre-Superstars) was Mason Ryan vs. Primo. Typical quick match with nothing really remarkable from either wrestler. Ryan has a similar body to Batista. A lot of these guys looked airbrushed (dark highlights can accent muscle tone) and Ryan was the most painted-up of the night besides Vicky Guerrero. The final dark match (post-Raw) was a three-way dance between Alberto del Rio, John Cena, and CM Punk. ADR knocked out the referee and declared the match canceled but Bret Hart donned the black and white stripes and came down to officiate. Cena and Punk whaled on ADR for a while, then on Otunga/McGillicutty. The crowd was split on Cena, mostly booing him except when he was on the mic, and he seemed to acknowledge that at the beginning. Cena's not my favourite but I have a grudging respect for him since he seems to take everything in stride. The biggest pop was for Bret Hart followed by CM Punk. Its been at least ten years since I've watched wrestling so most of the people on the show were totally unknowns to me. Still, brought me back. The spectacle that was Monday Night Raw back in the day certainly seems to have been lessened. Maybe the show wasn't an important one? Nothing unpredictable. I'll post some pictures after work.
Holy crap, 44 new threads, TBF? So when people actually post in his empty forum their posts get buried under a pile of headlines? What a waste. Never mind, I won't post pictures.
I agree with this so much. What the fuck is the point of posting so much useless crap? All it does is make it 100 times more difficult to find actual content.
No, same seats. The zoom on my point and shoot didn't work all that well for most of the pictures (too dark) other than that one.
First row balcony, above whatever that ring of continuous LED screens every arena has is called. Pretty good for free.
