There was report earlier about Mike James to Dallas being close, now this trade happens. There was speculation that Daniels would be dealt for a backup pf, while we bring in James to replace his spot on the roster. Hopefully this leads to the James situation being resolved.

Exactly...and if it goes down now, I'll be happy.Adding Croshere, who's a more consistent version of KVH, and James and Ager at the Guard spots, plus keeping Terry, gives us a better team overall than we had last year.All we have to do now is decide if we should resign DA, probably not, or Griff, possible but I don't know why if we had Terry/Harris/James/Anger manning the Guard positions, and we'll be set.I'm sure the Mavs aren't done moving this offeseason.
I agree, if we do add James, we should be set for the year. Just decisions on Rawle, DA and Griff to fill out the remaining spots.

Croshere is probably as well but we only have him for one year. Resigning Van Horn does not help our luxury tax situation and brings up back to this year where he disappears under pressure. Stop looking at it from a talent standpoint, Croshere fills a role here cheaper then Van Horn, he also is a better leader/rebounder/defender then Van Horn. But that aside, Daniels will never be a All-Star and would not get much time here. So we pick up a player that replaces Van Horn and get out of a contract that helps us in later years.
Anything>Van Horn. I wish Dallas got a better player for Daniels but at least Croshere will prevent Van Horn from playing.
