The same goes for me. My 4'7" 300 lb body is all that is keeping me from winning an NBA championship.

Hmmmm, if the team struggles with injuries again we may need you to play Power Forward. All we need is 6 hard fouls (no permanent injuries to opposing team players but a little injury is fine - especially in the play offs).

No doubt. Tommy John's doctor gave him a "1 in 100" chance of a complete recovery. Who knows, maybe in 10 years we'll be talking about "Brandon Roy Surgery". There's a lot of money on the line, and we're talking about a guy who was top 5-10 in the league before his meniscus blew up. Likely? Of course not, but not impossible.

It's fine with me if Roy tries some new procedure and IMO given what I saw last yr it would be no risk and all reward. He's not worth keeping at his salary and ability if we can get rid of him with an amnesty clause we do it. So if there is somethin "new" out there I say go for it, but then again that's from a selfish fan's perspective. I put odds at 1 in 100 or probably worse.
