Secondly, tracy mcgrady is not the most talented player in the league. Thirdly, Shaq deserved the finals mvp but the fact remains that the gameplan was for shaq to dominate. Kobe went from destroying the spurs and kings to playing 2nd fiddle to shaq. It was the gameplan, not kobe's game being undeveloped. And you basically said your a shaq and not a miami heat fan :no1:edit: Let's see, kobe's the more talented player, has more rings [destroyed teams like spurs and kings on the way] and has more laker franchise records yet the logo deserves the spot more than kobe? And if Kobe doesn't get the nod over West, he sure as hell does over Baylor. Elgin Baylor was hugely detrimental to the Lakers in the 60's. The gameplan consisted of him going one on one, then West coming down and going one on one. When they got Wilt West changed his patterns a little bit, Baylor did not. He was forced out, and the year he retired they won the championship. In fact, the day he retired, they played a game. That game was the first win of the 33 game win streak they went on.

So you basically are a fan of a player, not a team? Thats not the way to go, bro. I hear you on Jerry West though. Better passer, better scoring numbers. And West won one championship, and he would have won tons more if it weren't for the dreaded Celtics...

Tracy McGrady is the most talented player in the league basketball wise. ah man that is the funniest most rediculous comment ive heard ever, kinda like saddam caused 9/11.Dude stop smoking pot and playing video games all day. If t-mac is so scary talented, then why when healthy could he and vinsanity never take the raptors anywhere in seriously weak east conference? There is,undoubtably 20 guys WAY more talented than t-mac,right off the top of my head. Want 'em? kobe, duncan, dirk,ai,wade, lebron, elton, shaq, bosh, ginobli, garnett, chauncey billups for christs sake, vince, kidd, nash, amare, jesus shuttleworth, mike bibby, ron artest, paul pierce, lisa f*cking leslie, need i go on? T-mac is so fragile he makes grant hill look like karl malone. the only and i mean only, maybe, just maybe, thing t-mac has going for him in actual terms of basketball is that he MIGHT BE a slightly better purer natural shooter than kobe. When his back is not out. Even in the best of times he might drop 40 pts but his man dropped 30. or more. Im so sick of people hyping t-mac just cause he gets the commercials doesnt actually mean hes that good. Derrick coleman anybody? Gets ome prozac dude.....by the way at center; the captain who else shaq backs him up(gotta keep that toe healthy) wilt by the way was waaaaaay more dominant at the top of his game. at pwr forward; big game james at the three; kobe, i suppose at the two; the logo, gotta give it up at the point; the REAL mj. ervin. That leaves so many people out and in lakers history you could almost go three or four deep at every position and all would be hall of famers, but thats the starting five id like to see.
C-Shaquille O'NealPF-A.C GreenSF-Kobe BryantSG-Jerry WestPG-Magic JohnsonI decided to put Shaq as the starting center because I believe that would provide a defensive force with a Green/O'Neal Tandem in the frontcourt. Magic, Jerry, and Kobe would run the break. With Kobe at the 3 position, it would leave him open for open jump shots in the corner. I'll take this against any other franchises' all-time team.

Being the best isn't all about talent. When healthy though McGrady is just one hell of a baller. Way more talented than Bllups, Bibby,Ginobili, and all them. If Tracy McGrady had the work ethnic of MJ he could possibly be the GOAT. The case is the same for Shaq in his prime. If he had that MJ work ethnic he could've been the GOAT as well. You bi*ch like a girl during her menstrual cycle about T-mac being hurt, but then mention Amare? Most of the guys just know the fundamentals and work harder than McGrad.y In no way am I a McGrady fan, but I can't denie the talent he was blessed with.
dude your arguing my point for me,t-mac hasnt possessed that exploveness since toronto, and if people want to talk about potential, fine but all there is in reality is waht palyers have accomplished. and you cant honestly tell me t-mac isnt somewhat a liability on the defensive end even in the best of times. he is a solid player when hes healthy, no doubt. But all those others i mentioned i would choose over t-mac and i friggin hate bibby. As far as my rant im just sick of nike, gatorade et,al over-hyping guys that havent done a whole lot. Lakersfan247. dude, thank you. why do i get the feeling that no one actually watches these games somtimes? I know rick fox started at the three, and he was very underrated as far as a key to our success goes, but the triangle is a dynamic offense where depending on the situation rotations of players and matchups change often, Offensively kobe, being 6'7" ish is more suited ,at times, to be at the three, maybe not officially, but certainly in the phil jackson-hybrid-dynamic-triangle that they run.by the way your avatar is the best. Is there a way i could get a quicktime movie of that or something?

So how could he start at the 3 for this. 2nd of all: you need to get off Kobe's dick. He's averaged about 22 ppg for you guys in his career and was never the Finals MVP. That went to Shaq. Elgin in 14 years with the Lakers averaged 27, 13 and 4. And now your gonna say Kobe is better then him?I dont care about records. Those mean nothing really in terms of the greatest player. I dont care about single game records. Wow, I guess Elgin wasnt the leader of the Lakers for 12 seasons, was he? That is only because KG and Tim Duncan both had bad years this season. And DWade and Lebron are too inexperienced to be called the best. Elgin wasnt the best of his era because he played against guys like Wilt, Bill Russell, Oscar Robertson, and Hondo. How could he be the best player with that group? Seriously. Jerry West was not the sole leader of the team at all. West was the point guard, but Elgin Baylor scored more, rebounded more. Also, that is a rediculous statement. Who was the leader of the Lakers before Jerry came? Elgin was the leader before Jerry really came into his own, and also he was arguably the leader the whole time. And since when does being the sidekick lesser you? It doesnt make Kareem or Magic any worse because they were dual-leaders of the show time team. It just means you played with good teammates, so what. Also, Kobe was not thew leader until 2 years ago. So how are you gonna say that when Elgin led for more time then Kobe did.. Exactly, Phil puts him at the 3 sometimes. He cant be classified as the 3 if his main position that he plays 4/5's of the time is the 2...This post wasnt a shot at you, but a truthful answer..
