You guys need to understand that the media hates Kobe because of the Colorodo incident. He's not going to get votes. Hell some people didn't even have him on their ballot.

And Stock was way more valuable then Nash, I'd pick him any day Pretty rediculous to me.</div> Why does it matter that Stockton didn't get it? I'm sure if they both played at the same time what you just said might actually mean something. If Stockton and Nash played at the same time(now) Stockton would have won it. If it was back then neither would have probably.

I feel the 3 most likely people to be MVP next season are:KobeT-MacLeBronAll 3 are truly the most valuable to their teams in the NBA, and all 3 are capable of putting up the numbers to get them an MVP spot. I don't feel T-Mac will get it as the media will say he has Yao, so it will come down to Kobe and LeBron.
I would have to say that Kobe did get robbed of the MVP this past season, but thats not the topic. I think that the top 3 candidates will be:Lebron JamesKobe BryantDwyane WadeAnd Lebron will ultimately win the MVP.
Carmelo Anthony is a candidate that people fail to mention. He is one of the most improved players since he was drafted in the league, and I think he is ready for a leadership role with the team this season. He jumps shot has improved and his defense has as well. He is also killer at finishing at the rim.

Could you imagine what the Lakers would have been like without him?
Carmelo? The guy sucks in the 4th quarter. If he can overcome that, maybe, but I don't think he's anywhere near LeBron or Wade right now.

It's the Most Valuable Player who can actually take his team somewhere and Kobe really didn't. He almost did. If he beat the Suns he'd be my pick but I think LeBron should've won it.

But the media is goo goo over Nash, so he got it, (and by the best player on the best team, I didn't mean the best team as in the best one in the league, I meant it as the most worthy MVP candidate on an elite team).
I think Nash didn't really deserve both of those (maybe one). The guy doesn't even play defense. Although he is one of the top players, he didn't deserve it two years in a row.
Nash deserved that first one, definetly. Not last year though. And yeah Lakaboy, like I said. It just has to be someone that does something with their team. If your team plays mediocre all year then you don't deserve it. It probably should have been Dirk or LeBron.
No team is led by one guy as the cavs are lebron. Sure Dwayne had a good finals series but he didnt lead the team before that. He will win the MVP award because he is the player that makes everything happen for that team.

4th seed and 2nd round still looks a hell of a lot better than 7th and 1st round. Even though I am 100% on your side with that conference thing. :happy0144: West pwns.
let's add onto the fact that the lakers faced a 50 win team in the west whilst the cavs faced the freaking wizards. The pistons were in self sestruct mode, any of the playoff teams besides the nuggets could give them trouble.Lakers are 0-2 without kobe, both losses coming against the jazz who sucked at that time. Cavs are 2-0 without lebron.

I still think Kobe was this last years MVP, but I think LeBron is going to climb into the MVP spot next season.

I can say that unless LeBron completely falls off or Kobe leads his team to a 6th seed while putting up amazing numbers that LeBron will win it. If you don't get the MVP while averaging 35 points then I don't think you ever will, I also expect the Lakers to have some more help in there along with the Cavs upgraded backcourt.
Well it was 2 games but if were judging who's more valuable, i can only go by that. It's sad to say it but i don't think Kobe will ever win the mvp trophy. The Mvp has become a joke lately though when a guy like steve nash can win 2 straight mvps.Lakers will be a top 5 seed, mark my words.
