yeah, but are you really shocked? he's never shown any real compassion. you can tell he's basically just a robot with a teleprompter. all he does is whine and complain, blame others and offers nothing of real substance. he often gives backhanded slaps to the republicans, takes credit for everything good even if others had worked on it and deflects the blame or plays down for anything that goes bad. he's an egomaniacal jerk.

If I were trying to get re-elected with his poll numbers, I wouldn't be picking fights with Texans or any other citizens. It's just dumb, and tone def.

At least Clinton told us he "feels our pain."

So, he's like every other politician out there.

like republicans don't give him back handed compliments or take credit for everything good and blame him for everything bad!?

seriously, you think it's one sided??

This is like someone who pisses in their backyard complaining that their neighbor pisses in their own backyard.

That damn redneck is pissing in his yard! Can you believe it!?

But Paw, you're doing it right now!

yeah, but I OWN my yard, he doesn't!

So he should suck up to a state that won't vote for him anyways?

Those who are angry with his comment weren't voting for him no matter what he did.

so your problem is that Obama isn't as deft a liar as Clinton was/is?

My problem is I'm not better off than I was 3 years ago. I'm seeing the govt. rack up huge bills and obligations that I know they're going to come after me to collect on. And I'm not top 1% or 10% of earners.

As far as Clinton, he was a skilled politician. Obama's a skilled campaigner, but not the second time around.

admit what, that he's like every other politician out there? I think the only people who like to trumpet out that he's not are the ones who want to act like people don't already know that.

It's like going up to someone who buys a car, and tell them "say, you know car emits c02, right?"

"well, I never said it didnt".

    "yeah, but it does"

    "thanks. I have to go"
    "yeah, and pollute!

    I totally told them."

I wasn't better then I was before Bush was first elected. Not sure how that really matters.

Good thing the election isn't next week.

like I said, good thing the election isn't next week.

btw, as much as I'm disappointed in how Obama is, I almost can't wait for whoever the Republicans put out against him. Then we'll get all the stupid decisions, lies, hypocrisies, inconsistencies and "poor leading" skills that you guys will gloss over with positive links. And I really look forward to when you guys start denying that you're doing that, or try to spin that you're undecided.

I don't care who the republicans run, unless it's Ron Paul or Gary Johnson.

I won't be voting for any other republican, nor rooting for any of them. If those two aren't the nominee, I'll vote Libertarian or write in Johnson.

What I am rooting for is this loser of a philosophy to die, and the rise of Libertarian thought in government.

Ron Paul within a few points of the incumbent president in the polls IS progress of the highest order.

Just out of curiosity, because I don't actually know, is there any examples of a Libertarian government in the world?
I don't think it's a big deal. Depends on the quality of the poll, and the audience it's geared towards. And the exposure that people have of Ron Paul. I think that's a big issue for things. It might be that the more he talks, the worse he sounds.

Accurate, topically current, got a good reaction from the crowd, and highlighted a key reason Perry is unqualified to lead anyone in any capacity. A winner by any measure of political humor.

As for offending the great people of Texas, they have only theirselves to blame for electing and re-electing yet another babbling idiot for governor. They killed Kennedy, they gave us 2 criminally anti-American Presidents, they brought us wars for oil in Vietnam and Iraq (twice) and they were a huge factor in destroying our economy. Fuck 'em if they can't take a joke.

    The US government in 1789.

    Today, Switzerland is pretty close.

It's a CNN poll, no? They're supposed to be a responsible news organization.

It is a big deal because before progressives reminded people how bad their policies are for everyone, a Libertarian might have done 2 or 3% in this kind of poll

isn't Switzerland the size of Vermont? Seems more like a small sample size then a good example, but an example none the less.

I don't consider polls from CNN, MSNBC, FOX etc, as being from responsible news organizations.
