<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Reports indicate that Mike James is close to agreeing to terms with the Houston Rockets. James lives in Houston and has expressed a desire to return to Texas. James is a resident of Houston and has indicated that the Rockets are his top choice.</div>After all the talk about Mike James going here and there im starting to get sick of him. Im not sure if Houston is a good place for him. I just wouldnt feel right if a team traded me then they got me back 2 years later. :dunno:LINk\

Eh, I wanted him but not at 5 years. If Rockets are going to give him that, then they can. In a couple years, they will regret that. I just want him to sign somewhere, so we can move on to other options like Flip Murray, Trevor Ariza, Greg Buckner.

Well according to reports from Hoopsworld and realgm, sounds like Rockets are giving him a 5 year, 30 million dollar contract. It's not official but I think it's a lock that James is a Rocket. I think Rockets outbidded themselves in this one, that contract sucks at 5 years.

So... a team that didn't even make the playoffs gets even older after they already acquired Shane Battier. In addition, they overpay an aging swingman by giving him 5 years.Yeah, they're definitely contenders.

Well the Rockets are a team that if healthy and with Shane Battier are ready for a run deep into the playoffs. If James signs here he and Alston could be a good PG combo to help them achieve to goal of a championship.

I think they're a very good team, but I just don't see them being as good as Phoenix, Dallas, or San Antonio. And that's only if BOTH T-Mac and Yao stay healthy.

Houston gets a solid player who can play off the bench or start. Also, he can shoot with the best of them. This benifits both TMac, Yao, and the team

It's not official, in fact he's still negotiating with three teams.
