From summer league reports i've been reading it's interesting to see people being critical of his handle, they said he will rely on teammates on offense early in his career...etc...he can't create his own shot, this seems like a pretty big problem.
Michael Finley was a guy who was said to have no handles. And he did fine, it won't matter for Ager just like Finley, because we won't be relying on him to handle the ball. Also, I read reports about the game, it was said the whole team was in a funk and not cohesive at all that led to Ager handling the ball and forcing shots, not his strengths. I don't think summer league should be a gauge on how well a player translates to the NBA. I mean look at Skita, he dominated that league and is a scrub.
I agree with Rok there. Finley they said that too and he become a good player and ager wont need to handle the ball and make a shot for himself much with dallas anyway.
He shot 3-5 from downtown if that says anything..Pops did pretty well, I'de take him over Rawle and that Pavel bi*ch
Were stuck with Pavel because he's under contract. Rawle though is in trouble, this is 2 games in a row he's not showing anything. He's most likely not going to have his option picked up and not make the roster. Especially since I rather have Griff back over him.
Im still kind of ticked off that we took Pavel, he hasnt done anything these 2 seasons. Siberian Shaq. my ass

He never did anything in Russia when he was there, never dominated, his nickname should have been the Siberian Slug.

If it doesn't pan out, no big deal as Donnie has said the guy we would have used the pick we traded for Pavel on was Wayne Simien. Would I like Simien over Pavel now? Yes but it's not a bad swap in terms of what could be. Pavel's a project that will probably have to develop somewhere else now since we reupped Benga. Simien will probably be a role player for the rest of his career.
side note: Rok, It's always sunny in philadelphia is my freaking favorite show on tv right now. funniest show ever.

Who cares if Ager has no handles. As long as he can hit the open shot is all Dallas needs. If he can do that than other teams are in trouble.
^I agree...if we wanted a kid with handles we would have traded up, or took whatever PG was available...as long as he can hit the open shot, and spread the defense some, he'll be fine.
^I know...and neither is Podkolzin...he's averaging around 12 ppg and 7.5 rebounds with about 25 minutes a game...not bad from a guy that still needs some time to develop.
I still didn't like that pick for Pavel but I guess the haters of Pavel will be quieted in the short term.
They should be...he was a developmental pick when they traded for him, and it's still that way...but at least he's making improvements.
