It took living in the NW for many years to finally let the baseball season go without following it and enjoying the summer (When the Mariners were doing well I got sucked back into it). As I get older I think it will be easier for me to forget about the NBA season and focus on other activites and things to do with my time during the winter. What that is, I don't know yet . . . figured it out in the summer, I can figure it out in the winter.
Anyhow, as a Raider/Duck/Montana State fan, my football viewing has been fantastic this year, and I don't miss the NBA at all. I'm also excited to see how Dana Altman's 2nd season goes with some of his players, and I'll focus more on the NCAA once the football seasons' end. I already have tickets through the UO for the NCAAs at the RG, so knowing the good teams on more than a surface level will make for a more fulfilling weekend at the RG in March. I do empathize with HCP and others impacted by the lockout. I saw Mike Barrett at my kids' school; apparently he now has a kindergartner there, and I wondered if the Blazers are still paying their announcers.
papag- if i remember correctly you are from MT? Cats are having a pretty good season! still a Griz fan(my oldest is at school in zootown) but i still root for the Cats until the Griz/Cat games...just like i also root for the beavs until civil war time then it's all Ducks...nice to see you're also a raidaz fan!
