<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (dirk4prez32 @ Jul 8 2006, 02:34 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>I Like Bargnani the first time I heard the comparisons to my favorite player this time last year. though I like Darko Milicic also. But I dunno if he's a LeBron type player. to come in and change the whole team give hime 2-4 years. Nowitzki averaged under 9 points as a rookie and No one payed attention to him but in a few seasons the teams that didn't draft him probably felt like :brickwall:. Bargnani only got 4 rebounds yesturday but he had 2 blocks. Anybody heard anything about that guy from the Ukraine that plays for the Wizards? I like European players [IMG] and other foreigners AK-47, Brezec, Okur, Biedrins, Arroyo, and etc.</div>Why does he need to be? TJ Ford and Chris Bosh will obviously be the leaders of the team; not him.

Good to see he's playing real well but it's really irrelevant to just say he's doing well there so he'll do well in the NBA. Gomes did nothing in the summer leagues and he had a bunch of doubles-doubles in his first few games as a starter for the Celts. Also will Bynum played nasty in the summer leagues and he is barley still on a roster.

I dont think its fair to compare Bargnani to Tskitishvili, like BCB said Tskitishvili was drafted soley on potential, when he played in Europe he was a bench warmer and only played during garbage minutes, Bargnani on the other hand played for the best team over in Europe and played something like 20 minutes in a full 82 game season, and during the playoffs he averaged 33 minutes!!! Bargnani for those who dont knwo began playing basketball at a pro level when he was 16!! Im not setting up Bargnani to be a superstar or even an allstar but I dont believe he'll turn out to be a bust like alot of the N. Americans are saying. One more thing, Bargnani already played against NBA competition 2 years ago when his team Benneton played the Raptors in pre-season ball where he recorded I believe 13 pts in 20 minutes where he drove by Bosh whenever he wished!! and that was two years ago. I understand how everyone is quick to jump on the "Bargnani is a Bust" bandwagon as being the #1 overall pick you are always going to be under the microscope but how about the 2nd overall pick? Lamarcus Aldrige, in his first game he played more minutes then Bargnani (33 to 29) and he didnt even reach double digits in pts or rbs and recorded no stls, blks or asts.

I guess you can't foul out so Bargnani did stand down to any defensive challenge, or he just is a hack type of player. By the way, the whole game had 76 fouls :no1: good thing is he shot a good percentage!Bargnani MVP 08-09 :happy0144:

Yeah, his defense is a huge question mark. No normal player gets 10 fouls in one game, even if you cant get fouled out. I hope he fixes some of that. If he cant play good defense, atleast stop the fouling...

A lot of other players are getting tons of fouls...I don't think it's that big of a deal.

yeah, either the boxscores are messing up, or the refs are calling it WAY too tight. They need to fix that..

This is only the summer league, but still pretty good. I think this guy can be pretty good. I don't think he will be a bust.

Not a very good game for Andrea. He went 2 for 7 against the Celtics with 10 points. He did get to the line 7 times; and convert on 3 of them. But still, I expect more than 10 points from him in Summer League play. Andrea also finished with 7 PF's that game :no1:The bright spot was Joey Graham though. It wasnt broadcasted, but I can tell he was aggressive at the plate today. Believe it or not guys, he got to the line 12 times that game! He was only 5/13 from the floor, but still I'm impressed with how aggressive he was. He finished with 20 points and 7 rebounds. Hey, the way I look at it; 20 points is 20 points. Doesnt matter really how you get it. He continues to be impressive in the summer league and now is averaging 19 ppg on 47% shooting to go along with 4 rpg. He is the Raptors MVP so far in summer league play.PJ Tucker continues to dissapoint. He scored a lowly 3 points today, and 1 rebound! 1 rebound! Rebounding is supposed to be one of his biggest strengths. This doesnt look good. If he can't get more then 3 points against scrubs that wont even make the NBA, I dont know how many points he will register in real NBA play. Oh wait! He did get 9 of something. Oh nvm that was Personal Fouls :no1:Pretty sad outing. We lost by 40 points or so.
