<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Chicago Sun-Times - Could Chris Wilcox be the next target that the Chicago Bulls will chase this offseason?According to the Chicago Sun-Times, the Bulls could use another big body. And according to team sources, the Sun-Times writes, the next name on Paxson's wish list is restricted free agent Chris Wilcox, a 6-10 power forward.Since the Ben Wallace signing will eat up most of the Bulls' $16 million of cap space, their best chance of landing Wilcox will be through a sign-and-trade deal with his current team, the Seattle SuperSonics . That's always a tricky situation when the current team wants to retain the player, but the Bulls could benefit from the Sonics' shaky financial outlook.Wilcox, who will turn 24 in September, is looking for a multiyear deal at roughly $10 million a year. It's doubtful the Bulls would be willing to pay that kind of money as well, but they are in a better position to meet Wilcox's salary demands. The Bulls also have the kind of young talent to entice Seattle into making a deal.J.R. Smith, a 6-6 guard who is also part of the Chandler deal, is very attractive because of his youth (he turns 21 in September), and Malik Allen and Viktor Khryapa are other players who could be included in a trade.Even if they don't acquire Wilcox, a trade seems likely because the Bulls have too many players worthy of playing time. Brown, though, believes the Bulls have big plans for him.</div>LINKWhere would he fit in with the Bulls? The bulls are loaded as is and if they will pay him the 10mil he wants and dont play him that will be a waste. But Wilcox must be crazy to be asking for that kind of money. This would be a great additon to the Bulls although it would be pointless IMO.
i heard about this, but they said the only way it would happen is if it was a sign and trade becuz the Bulls dont have enough left under the cap. He would prolly be the starting PF next to wallace but i think that may take away time from Tyrus Thomas and id rather see minutes go to him instead
I said it once I'll say it again. This man does not deserve 10 million a year. Far from it. MLE would almost be overpaying. And the last thhing the Bulls need is another garbage man with no offensive game besides catching an alley oop. They just traded one away.
I can't believe Wilcox is asking for $9-10 mill. I mean, how is he going to feed his family? But really, i don't think Paxson is dumb enough to pay Wilcox that much. No way they sign him. Plus, they have Big Ben, Thomas, Sweetney, Darius Songalia. They already have those positions set. Now that i think about it, they have every position set. Damn i'm jealous.

He opted out, which usually isn't a good sign though.
well he would play backup center of course. But i dont think paxson will over pay for wilcox. i hope he doesnt
I think Wilcox would be their startin PF unless Ty really stpes up. But this is a rumor with not much behind it.I don't think the Bulls are really gonna get Wilcox unless they lose Songolia to Free agency.

Tyson Chandler was traded.... Hes talking about Tyrus Thomas.....And this would be a retarted move for the Bulls unless somehow they could get him for about 5-6 a year. He is nowhere hear 9-10 mil a year....wow, he is stupid. haha. But 5-6 wouldnt be a stretch. He did very well when he was moved to Seattle last year which shows that if he gets playing time, he can be a good player.
WOW just wow I think it be a nice add for the Bulls, but damn they got enough players what would be the point?I think Boston be a nice team for Wilcox. Espacially if AI get's traded there it be nice to have Wilcox, Pierce, and AI.
