Another problem with all these so called charity games is that there are starting to be too many of them. In just reading some other forums and the posts by NBA fans in them tells a lot. Most are starting to realize they don't like scores higher than Einstein's IQ......Although I'm not sure he ever really took one, but you know what I mean.
My big problem with these games is they either don't have a way for people to watch them or (like the OKC game the other day) the puny internet feed they've set up slams into the crapper real quick.
My biggest problem with them is that I'm a fan of the Blazers and also USA Basketball, and not a fan of the players themselves. I do have favorite players on the Blazers, as does most everyone else, but LMA playing in some pick-up game does not at all interest me. The players don't care who wins these pick-up games, and if I don't have a rooting interest in terms of a team, it bores me. The NBA All-Star game also bores me unless a Blazer is in it, but I still watch that one pick-up game because it is a part of the NBA's tradition.
The owners provide nothing of value...blah blah blah...only the players matter...blah blah blah... These joke games cannot replace a well run league. People won't give a damn about watching rat ball. The players should just start their own league already. Oh, wait, then the'd have to face the reality of losing money instead of the multi-million dollar entitlement they currently enjoy. Not gonna happen.
