The Minnesota Vikings released embattled receiver Bernard Berrian on Tuesday, the team announced. Berrian is a vested veteran, so the Vikings must pay him all of his $1.9 million salary unless another team claims him. He took a pay cut to stay this year after two substandard seasons, but this year was more of the same. Berrian was a healthy scratch Sunday for the second time in three games.
