It's longer than it was for his last MF surgery

That said, he's suffered 2 knee injuries since then so taking it easy is probably the #1 priority right now.

He's also working with different trainers/doctors I would assume.

While you were in there, maybe you should have jiggled Oden.

Funny how Greg recovers better from MF than he does from a broken knee. Don't think he ever started running again after he fractured his patella, and the recovery time for that was only supposed to be like 4 months.

I would point out that the Doctor that did his surgery said it'd take over a year for him to recover 100% and we havent reached a year yet. Greg has been doing water running and biking for quite a long time now, IIRC.

A year to recover ... that's not the same as a year to resume any kind of running. Right? As for your claim that he's been doing pool running and bike riding I don't recall much of anything said about him from any news source in the past year (which isn't proof that hasn't been doing both). Where did you read/hear this?

IIRC there was some news about it when we were still in season, specifically the biking and water running. I believe the Mikes talked about it, as well as Granted I could be getting these mixed up with the previous three years worth of injuries, because that is entirely possible.

I think running is one of the last things you're allowed to do in MF. I don't believe Greg was even allowed to do a lot of squatting/leg work in his first MF, which is why he was so top-heavy compared to his legs.

So let me get this straight? I'll buy you season tickets on the condition that Oden leads or otherwise helps this team win a championship this year? and if those conditions are not met you buy me season tickets? You are so fucking on!!

If you look at one of the more recent pictures of him (the one where he talks about going to a movie), his face looks like he's "old man retired fat".

Well I'm not about to make a wager that Oden is going to win a championship sitting on the bench the next year after he signs with the Heat.

I'd argue being a catcher is much harder on the knees. Mogul skiing and having some 300 pound dude cut block you a couple dozen times a game probably get my vote too

If Greg catches an elbow and breaks an orbital bone, no one is going to offer him a contract if X months later it's healed up and chomping at the bit ready to play? He separates a shoulder on a nasty fall and no team in the league is going to take another chance on him? You really believe that? Or is this over the top pessimist thing an act? Teams are going to stick with their Chris Johnson types when Greg Oden is available?

If Oden suffers another serious leg/knee injury he's done ... as in I don't think he's going to continue playing.

After deep insightful thought, I get that cuckoo thing now! I think Barfo means that while it's true that another team will take a chance and sign Oden if he has recovered from a future injury, his playing career will be done.

Barfo needs me to interpret his cryptic aphorisms to the outside world. Stomp needs me to interpret his cryptic cartoons.

I don't deny my need for you, but in this case it was Nik who said that. I merely mentioned jiggling Oden.

Guys, guys, guys. Nik. Clearly, it means he's playing pick up basketball. Remember when he played with Nate Bishop? "Running" is slang for playing full court basketball. When someone wants to play, they say "wanna run?" Oden is playing basketball again. No one from the team is allowed to work with him so he's been playing on his own.

Barfo, Nik, KingSpeed, what the hell is the difference? You guys just substitute in the right name whenever I post. In Hinduism, we are all one and we are all together. See how they fly like Lucy in the Sky. I'm crying.
