NBA TV is reporting that Blazers are invovled in discussions with Jazz's Kevin O'Connor to take over personel decisions.

    Old news?

There is no way in hell he would take the job unless he was out of work.

he might want to try to work for an owner who has more money then the Jazz owner, even if he "has no say". The guy has a good track record, right?

Imagine if he had an owner who could afford it.

AFAIK, the guy is under contract. Why would the Jazz even let him interview?

Because if their fanbase is anything like ours, their fans would overreact to the news and find all sorts of reasons to hate the owner/gm/Larry "Smith" if he was refused the right to talk to another team.

Sounds to me like (if true) O'Connor is looking to leverage a raise out of the Jazz

He has taken a lot of shots at the Blazer organization over the years. I would be shocked if he left the Jazz for the Blazers. Like I said if he was unemployed then that would be a whole different situation, but he's not.

He would be a good pickup, better than I thought POR would get...seems to be a pretty good evaluator of talent....

It just might be that he is looking to move on, also, maybe working for Larry Miller's son? is not working out?
