    Thomas: 157/236 1380 yards 18 TD 5 INT
    Bennett: 24/45 361 yards 6 TD 0 INT 183 rushing yards

Chip stated on Softy's Show (another odd decision to announce your starter on a rival show) that Thomas is the starter and Oregon plans to go with one QB. It's possible that with the success of Bennett, we could see a more aggressive Thomas and more aggressive play calling as we go into the toughest part of our schedule - similar to the first few drives at ASU.

There's some media and board chatter that Oregon's offense seems to have slowed and isn't the 'blur' we've seen in the past. I think we'll see more of the hurry-up during closer games...since LSU, we haven't had a close game and we've seen conservative play calling.

Comparing the stats above, what jumps out at me is Bennett's 165 QB rating - which puts him above Foles, Barkley and others. His accuracy and 0 INT's are amazing. His option read ability seems to improve with every game - even the triple read (which Fischer say is our fourth most commonly run play) but just his confidence and demeanor is incredible for a RS FR. I wonder who the last FR was to throw 50 passes without an INT was.

Interestingly, Luck sits at 5th in the Pac in total passing yards. One might think this is due to a balanced and efficient rushing attack but Stanford's leading rusher sits at 4th in the Pac in total yards - behind Polk, James. Oregon has 4 RB's in the top 20 rushers in the Pac - James (2), Barner (9), DAT (16), Carson (20). Together they combine for the #1 conference rushing team, leading #2 by over 700 yards!!

Big day today. Go Ducks! I have full confidence in our offense to put points up against a terrible UW defense. I also have a lot of confidence in our own defense - which is currently ranked 3rd in the Pac for points allowed - just 4 pts per game out of 1st place - and considering how many scores came against our 2's and 3's late in blowout games, we very well could/should have the best defense in the Pac.

    Go Patos!
