Notre Dame center Braxston Cave will miss the remainder of the season and undergo foot surgery, coach Brian Kelly said at his Tuesday press conference.

Cave, a senior, left Saturday's 24-17 win at Wake Forest following the first play of the second quarter and did not return. Mike Golic Jr. will be the Irish's starting center, with Andrew Nuss backing him up.
