Its a Jason Quick piece, so it meh, but here ya go: http://www.oregonlive.com/trackandfield/index.ssf/2011/11/blue-chip_prospect_thomas_tyne.html
Thanks for the link. Nice to get updated on Tyner and get a glimpse into the off-field person he is. I wasn't aware he's so beefy - as a JR. 6', 208#? Wow. Gotta like Oregon's chances given his track focus and LMJ/Barner status. Could see some good playing time behind one of the best OL's in the conference. What a compliment he'd be with DAT.
wild speed. wish i was in the area still. love to take in a few hs games and watch him. highlight reels just don't give the same perspective.
He would definitely look good in orange & black! He could come here and play as a true freshman behind an imposing O-line and a terrific junior quarterback. I've seen the kid play and he is honestly the best high school player I've ever witnessed in person.
Nice. I'm a bit jealous of not being able to watch him at the HS level. Tlong, I'm just sure about that imposing OL of OSU. The best HS player I ever watched was Kyle Kozak - in the Aloha/Beaverton game. He played for Oregon from 1987-1989. He was the quickest and most power back I can ever recall watching at the HS level (IMHO even better than J-Stew, who I got to see while in WA). Some of the older fans here probably remember him - awesome future, but suffered a terrible knee injury on a return. His older brother Scott was a Duck all-conf OLB and played 5 seasons with the Houston Oilers.
I saw Tyner play at Tualatin last season. The Wolves basically shut him down. That was not repeated in the 6A championship, though. The one thing I worry about with Tyner are the injuries. The guy has barely played this year. He had the concussion, and now he's going to miss a playoff game with an ankle injury.
cry me a river. Let him post his lonely Beaver stuff on a USC, Cal, or Husky board and see if it's welcomed. Dude has relayed that he pays to be a member of the rivals Beaver board... I assume he's not paying to be by himself there. STOMP
I for one always welcome your posts, Tlong. For cripe sakes, this is a bizzaro board. Don't let that chip on your shoulder grow too big - it will begin to eat away at your insides. Tlong didn't say anything wrong.
sorry Bizzaro, but this is a Ducks board. The site created another spot for the Beaver talk so we can avoid becoming OLive lite. STOMP
So, educate me. It's against the rules, or just your personal constitution for anything to be said, Beaver related - even when it applies in a full circle discussion to the Ducks. Go gander scout, rivals, sports authority, espn - any message board and see other fans are allowed to post about their own team - as it adds to discussion and actual "interaction among fans". Does this mean we can't discuss Stanford, USC or even the Beavers during Civil War week? Never met such a small group of people who have control issues...but, it is what it is. LOL.
Just a quick refresher: Official Site Rules for SportsTwo All posters with honorable intentions are welcome. This is a big site with a lot of members. You may not like every one of them. However, we expect everyone to at least respect each other. Respect the moderators, global moderators, producers, commissioners, admins, and other staff members of SportsTwo. Flame wars are not allowed. We do tolerate poking fun of one another in good fun, but hateful posts towards another poster are not allowed. Trash talk is allowed. It's one thing to call Portland's NBA team the "Jailblazers" and another to call their fans idiots. The former is allowed, the latter is not. SportsTwo is to be a work-friendly and family-friendly site. While there is no blanket rule on how to enforce this, it is completely the discretion of SportsTwo staff to enforce this rule and how to enforce it. Everyone is here to offer their opinions, so be prepared to have people disagree with your opinions. There is a difference between attacking someone's post (their opinion) and attacking the poster with the latter not allowed. The staff is here to monitor for such occurrences.
