<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>"You get a chance to come home and be around your family and I've got people coming at me from all type of sides," Paul Pierce recently said. "I've got people telling me this is what you need to do. A lot of people say, 'You need to be in LA, you won't win a championship in Boston' and 'by the time y'all [in Boston] are ready, you'll be retired.' It does get to you at times and it's something to think about."-- Boston Globe</div>http://www.boston.com/sports/basketball/ce...has_big_dreams/ :g: i would love to have pierce play with the lakers beside kobe bryant..wow..im getting excited just thinking about it,paul pierce did grow up in L.A and people are telling him to play here..this either means alot or absolutely nothing what do you guys think?
Yeh, it a grand plan. Get kg this offseason, next offseason Lebron is a restricted free agent. He tells them trade me to la now or i'll walk for nothing next season. Our team in 2007C- BynumPf- KwameSf- PierceSG- KobePg- LebronSign and trade for pierce and were set for a dynasty
That would be funny if he was talking about the Clippers and not the Lakers... :HAHAHA:Anyway, on a serious note, that would be a huge move for either LA team, but I don't see it happening anytime soon, especially if the Celtics do indeed land Allen Iverson as they have been rumored to do.LeBron, Kobe and PP on the same team just won't work out... even with LeBron's unselfishness... unless of course David Stern changes the rules again and utilizes two balls at the same time during the game.
I think this is an example of taking someone's words and assuming something that isn't there. He said people told him he should be in LA, but their really nobody but his friends. Also, if Bron signs his extension this summer, he won't be a free agent come next summer.
Wow.. I think that would be sweet. I only say that because i am pretty much a LA resident.. and i would be able to see him often lol.. sweet.. but i hate the Lakers.. but it would be cool to see him. Especially With the Clippers.. WAAHOOO !! lol
guys, relax. If he just listened to what the fans said, he would be stupid. Although he did say he might leave boston for a chance at a title in a few years. There was a chance for a while that he would go to the Clippers, but it's not likely anymore. Chicago might be a destination for him. There's also Phoenix and Dallas.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (nba dogmatist @ Jul 8 2006, 07:24 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>i'm sorry, that was funny?</div>yes it was.if paul pierce wants to come to Los angeles and play for a team its for the lakers.Pierce grew up a Lakers fan and the clippers are not a more attractive team than the lakers.First of All,im sure players would rather play for phil jackson not mike dunleavy who is a good coach but no where near jackson's level and the lakers also have a guy named Kobe Bryant who im sure any player would love to play with not to mention paul pierce is actually friends with kobe from what he said on the best damn sports show so i laughed because you said the clippers and a more attractive team than the lakers
yeah, i'm sure a STAR would love to play with kobe, who takes how many shots a game? Plenty of players would love to play with Brand, a no-nonsense guy that never opens his mouth or complains, a guy like Sam Cassell, who is a natural leader, is clutch, and loves winning.

At this point the Clippers ARE more attractive than the Lakers. The stereotypes about Kobe Bryant are that he is hard to play with, especially if you are a superstar who wants the ball (a la Pierce). The Clippers at this point are easily the more complete team... Elton Brand, Sam Cassel, Shaun Livingston, Cuttino Mobley, Chris Kaman, Quinton Ross, and Tim Thomas are much more appealing than Kobe, Lamar Odom and Vladimir Radmanovic.
How many players have said they'd like to play with the clippers? How many players have said they'd like to play with the lakers?
the lakers are a franchise, the clippers wont win a title in the next five years. who are we to say which is more attractive especially to pierce. no star would want to play in a clippers uniform, any player would want to play at chicago with jordan the same goes with kobe and not brand as he plays a less team involving position, kobes the type of player you want on your team, no matter how good you are, hes not an idiot with pierce on the team he wont have to take every shot. who cares tho, he's either a celtic for life or hes gonna play for a monster of a man on a mission in pheonix

And i'm not talking about complaining to the officials. stop being so naive. How many all-stars really want to play beside Kobe Bryant? If the clippers had Paul Pierce, i guarantee they would win a championship. The lakers + Pierce would just be a good team that has a long shot at the finals. The Clippers are a much more complete team like someone else said earlier.
