Whomever drafts #1, and if both players declare, do you take a super-talent like Davis or do you go for the explosive (6'11" 275 lbs.) big in Andre Drummond?

    An oddly familiar conundrum.

Watched a little bit of Belmont/Duke. Austin Rivers looked good, but needs to put some weight on. He had a Dwyane Wade type shimmy shake move in transition.

If your franchise isn't called "The Trail Blazers" You go with the Explosive big man and watch him be the next Dwight Howard/Stoudamire depending on were his talents lie.

Drummond certainly was Oden-esque in his first game against Columbia. 4 rebounds, 1 block, and 3 personal fouls in 12 minutes.

Looking at SG-OTF I like Rivers and Brad Beal; both a little undersized (6'4") but are high IQ players that can shoot.

Good battle going on right now between Sullinger and Patrick Young on ESPN2

Keep an eye on Ray McCallum. His on-ball defense is very strong!

I watched McCallum play the other day against Notre Dame. He's good and can stroke it. But, he tries to do too much. Definitely solid D and a nice jumper. A little undersized. He's late 1st, early 2nd round type talent.

Sullinger has that Z-Bo-esque knack for scoring but I came away impressed with Aaron Craft.

Craft looks like a heady point for a freshman, I dont see anything thus far that says he's an NBA guy. Sullinger beasted as usual, but I thought the best player on the court was William Buford.

Anybody catch my boy Kevin Pangos and his nine 3's? Kids gonna be a baller.

Another note, I watched U of P take on UW the other night and holy shit, Terrence Ross from Jeff can shoot lights out. Supposedly he's been working out a ton with B-Roy. Looks like its showing. He was hitting contested jumpers all night and looked silky smooth doing it.

Anthony Davis looks good, but needs to start hitting the buffett line. He's got some ridiculous length and springs though, reminds me of Henson and Brandan Wright as freshman. Oh, and someone seriously needs to tell him to shave that unibrow.

I saw quick highlights of the 9 3's Seemed like he had 4 or 5 in the first 10 minutes of the game. Did he miss many? I just saw the makes on ESPN.

About Ross, kid can flat out ball. Silky smooth is a perfect description of him. I wouldn't be surprised if he worked with Appleby over the summer. He worked with Gaddy last summer and vastly improved his stroke. I'm actually more excited about this years team than last years. IT was great and all, but to have size at the point is something I'm not used to. Plus, no more out of control (on and off the court) Overton.

here are highlights from that game.

Oh, and UCLA is imploding. Losing their first 2 against lower competition (and with a trip to Maui soon could be something like 0-5 by the end of the month). They're going to kill other Pac-12 schools RPI. And then, on top of losing those games, their best player got kicked off the team.

The thing with Romar's teams is that year in and year out they never play disciplined basketball. Too many turnovers, too many lapses on defense. From an athlete standpoint I think they're always in the top 10 of the NCAA's. Its the coaching, not the recruiting that hampers that program.

Tony Wroten, seems like another guy with all the ability in the world, but not a clue on how to play smart ball.

Should be an interesting year for UW hoops, I think they'll be neck and neck with Arizona and Cal for the Pac-10 crown and lose early in the tourney.

Working with Gaddy on the jumpshot? You mean he was teaching Gaddy how to shoot a jumper? Ross' jumper has been better than Gaddy's since day 1.

I think Pangos missed 3 of his attempts.

Watch the 1:13 mark of that video. That was pretty Roy-esque.

He was indefinitely suspended. Earlier today I thought I read that he was kicked off the time, but apparently he was reinstated a few hours ago.
