BLAZER PROPHET will be coming over to my digs. Speaking of digs, he digs my 52" Panny. Gotta admit, it's a nice TV for watching sports. Gonna chow down on some Reo's ribs (endorsed by Snoop Dogg ) and some sides. I think I'll whip up some knock-off El Gaucho scalloped potatoes. Haven't figured out dessert, though. Maybe some homemade brownies. (No, not those type, silly! ) and ice cream. YUMMMM!!! Nonetheless, gonna be fun. GO DUCKS!!!!!
THAT sounds like fun. Enjoy. That blazer prophet guy sure is a grump, so give him a few beers. Maybe he'll loosen up. Ok... Jersey: IF I end up working late, I'll be watching the game on my PC at work. If I make it home, I'll be watching it with the beautiful wife, kids (who will all be wearing green/yellow) and her folks who are visiting (who are both Beavis alum but support Oregon) - on my 55"LG 1080. WA DC BUT, my wife and I were invited for a private tour of the White House and meet and greet, including areas not open to public - West Wing, Oval Office, etc. It was originally scheduled for the 13th, but due to some more pressing issues was moved to the 12th. We're keeping our eye on the Occupy Wall Street dirtbags who are marching to DC - which is supposed to take two weeks - but underground reports say another group will be setting up earlier outside the WH. If this is the case, our tour will most likely be cancelled - so, I'd end up watching the game in a hotel lobby or in the hotel room. IF, we get the call earlier, we'll reschedule for a later date - see above. GO DUCKS!
Holy Crap! I can say I knew ya when. Wait a minute! Do I even know you?!! PS: Your buddy Ed O. and i will be hooking up for a libation (or two) sometime over the Thanksgiving weekend when I'm visiting my lovely girlfriend in Seattle. Should be fun.
Nice! I miss Ed O. We've only connected a few times since HS but it always feels like it did back in the day. Love his sense of humor and insight. Miss that certified crazy dude. For funny stories, ask him about our "missions". Crazy to think we've been friends since grade K! Nah, the tour is nothin' overly special. Once in a lifetime event, yah, but it's not by anything we done, really. We are just friends with a staff member who was able to get us on the list for special tours that only happen a couple times a year and are limited to people with certain backgrounds. Originally, my wife's folks came out here from the West to watch the kids because my wife and I were going to make a three day weekend out of it and tour all of DC too, but my work schedule changed with some important mock military drills and oversight inspection that I couldn't miss. So, we are only allotted three tour spots and it may turn out that my wife tours with her parents (her dad works in the airline industry and her mom owns a large court reporting firm with over 40 employees- that helps them get in, lol). I'd try to get a future tour date, but our friend is retiring from Fed Service soon (man, that sounds crazy to say, he's my age - and set for life). So, even though it's only 24 hrs away, it's still a wait and see timeline - but, we are on the list. Three of us are def going, we're just not sure which three!! Some of these tours happen while the Pres is there, unfortunately I think the Pres was only in DC for a day or two after arriving home from G20/France and will be in Hawaii during the meet/greet and tour.
Yes, indeed. A wide screen HDTV, good ribs, best friend of 40 years... A perfect environment for watching a great football game. It is so nice to the Ducks being relevant on a national scale. Playing in really meaningful games for a change... Doesn't get any better for a sports fan.
@ OccupyPortland building defenses as I spray tiny amounts of tear gas on myself so I build up a tolerance.
I don't have a ticket... yet, but at the least I'll be tailgating with friends there who'll have a deluxe set up. STOMP
Working the Pac-Man fight in Vegas........ Gonna try and watch it out in the TV truck online and still work..... gonna be tough. If I can't I will turn my computer and iPhone off til I land in PDX Sunday at 3....... then try to watch it without knowing the score!!!!
HA, understand 100%!! I'll probably be standing on my coffee table, fists clenched, screaming and yelling.
