Most celtic fans were okay with the draft day trade. Almost everyone has said they will like Telfair being on the team, but one person who will LOVE Bassy in green is... Gerald Green. One scout said Gerald looked like "an offensive god next to two pure point guards". Good to hear. Not only will Green benefit from Bassy pushing the ball, his penetration should help Green out on the perimeter. He also puts less pressure on Green to handle the ball, which is big.
agreedGreen will benefit from Bassy and so will a lot of guys. I really like the idea of having Green, Pierce, Gomes, with Bassy on the floor. Gomes can stretch the floor by being able to play inside and outside, and Pierce/Green are outside threats as well. With a true point guard like Bassy on the floor dishing the ball we could really be an offensive force. Bassy of course won't be amazing right off the bat, but A.I. might...... :winkglasses:
I can't wait to see that second unit! I believe West will atleast begin the season as the starter still. Imagine the change in tempo with bringing in Telfair, Allen and Green in, ahh the highlights!
