I was hoping Penn State would have won today.

Their university - as a whole - has taken a beating this past week.

I was hoping they lost as much as I've ever wanted a team to lose. Their university deserves to be shamed for their enabling, up to the President, of a serial child molester. If I would have had to watch their idiot fans run all over the field after the win, I probably would have thrown the remote through the TV.

Now that the season for them is over in terms of home games, they can start to deal with the horrific reality of the PSU community.

They deserve it. They protected a child rapist.

Why on earth were you even watching? I slept in. A Penn State football game is not important to me and I certainly don't care about Nebraska or whomever they were playing.

The President and Paterno are gone. I was simply rooting for the students, themselves. They're the innocent ones here.....other than a few yayhoos who still wanted to show unbridled support for their legend, Paterno.

It's a very sad story. Too bad the actions a a few have had such an impact.

I'm sure if he would've known who the killers were, he would've let the police know.

How's he supposed to find the killers now that he's in prison? I think that the system finally failed.

Review: Joe Paterno in line for pension

HARRISBURG, Pa. -- Former Penn State football coach Joe Paterno's long service at the university theoretically puts him in line for a pension of more than $500,000 a year, according to an Associated Press analysis of state public pension records.

Paterno's pension records obtained Tuesday from the State Employees' Retirement System credit him with more than 60 years in the system. The formula used to determine benefits makes him eligible for a pension equal to 100 percent of the average of his three highest-salary years.

His pay rose from $541,000 to $568,000 over the past three full calendar years.

Good for him. Far more people have done far worse things. At least of what we know of right now

honestly, I'm a bit suprised how low that salary is. Even Navy's coach makes more than that.

But on this site, it says he made over a million in 2010. Hm.

Either way, he earned a pension according to the rules. :dunno:

"Penn State prefers to be losing at half time ... because at Penn State ... they like when you're a little behind in the locker room."
