The Texas Rangers won't sit back and let the rival Los Angeles Angels and New York Yankees dictate where free agent C.J. Wilson pitches next season.

Rangers assistant general manager Thad Levine confirmed Wednesday that the club has "real" interest in re-signing Wilson, who won 30 games in his first two seasons as a starter and is the top free-agent pitcher on the market.
