I believe this is a semifinal matchup and although to me it seems like an easy call (see avatar), I was wondering where everyone here stood on the subject. Do you value Clyde's 12 fantastic years, which included 2 trips to the Finals or is the ring the only thing that matters? This probably isn't even a question for fans of the Celtics, Lakers, Bulls or Spurs since they have won multiple titles, but in Portland, there is just one banner hanging from the RG and Lucas played about as vital a role as one could in winning it. So who will it be, Drexler or Lucas? Click Here To Vote
I'd vote Clyde the greatest, Rasheed 2nd greatest. Maybe Mo is in the top 5, I love the guy but he's much closer to a Carlos Boozer then being a Tim Duncan.
Clyde was so good you passed on Jordan. And even though you did, you had one of the greatest players and persons. I loved Lucas as a player. But I agree he wasn't one of the very best, all-time. Clyde gets my vote.
In the voting on that site right from the start, minutes played have been ignored. Too late now. http://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/POR/players.html Click on the MP column.
Very good find (re: minutes played). You assume Clyde played more (34 career mpg compared to Mo's 29), but once longevity is factored in, its not even a contest as he's logged nearly 20,000 more minutes.
The sad thing is, I think Brandon Roy could have been the greatest Blazer of all time if he hadn't developed the knee problems. He was that talented when healthy.
Mychal Thompson. 1 losing season in his career with the team (full seasons). 7th in scoring in team history, 3rd in rebounds, 1st in blocked shots.
