Although it was a short lived one...Kareem and The Big O. That is one nasty duo right there! The only reason I say underrated is they only had 2 season together so they don't get talked about alot.

Alex English and Kiki Vandeweghe were somewhat underated. Only duo to both score over 2,000 points in a season twice.

I don't know about way back when, I'm not gonna judge duos when I never seen them.An underrated one today is Rashard Lewis and Ray Allen.

Shawn Kemp and Gary Payton were beastly back in the 90's. They gave that 72 win Bulls team a real run for their money. If Michael Jordan hadn't come back, they would've won in 96.

Well, Bill Walton and Maurice Lucas of the Blazers 77 championship. The whole team was pretty underrated. No one really expected them to win against the star and name player studded Sixers (Julius Erving, Doug Collins, George Mcginnis, Henry "mike's dad" Bibby, Joe "kobe's dad" Bryant, Mike Dunleavy Sr, Darryl "Chocolate Thunder" Dawkins, World B. Free)More on that roster:http://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/PHI/1977.html

I'm happy, yet suprised, that someone (not a Celtic fan) would say that. I mean it surely wasn't the best duo of the time, but it was a damn good one and it's vastly underrated IMO. Not only were they both All-Stars year in and year out, and not only were they leaders, but they also were best friends and had a great relationship on AND off the court. That's what a great duo is all about, trust and friendship. You can't find too many duo's that have had this genuine of a relationship both on and off the court. Also, when Pierce/Toine were on the court, Celtic Pride was rejuvinated. I mean I guess you have to witness it first-hand to really understand what I mean, but the way this city was behind that team will not be seen for a long time in Boston. I mean sure, Antoine hoisted a few too many 3's and maybe took a couple questionable tweener shots, but he pumped that squad up more than anyone else could, and he was/is a true leader. But again, bottom line - Pierce/Walker rejuvinated Celtic Pride, and it won't be like that for a long time.
