Give me your top 5 6th men of all time.My list1. Michael Cooper2. Vinnie Johnson3. Bobby Jones4. "Downtown" Freddie Brown5. Ricky PierceI listed players who were 6th men for the majority for there careers, That is the only reason I left off the great Kevin Mchale.
I was thinking Michael Cooper when I saw this thread! I loved his game(ESPN Classics!). Nice list Balla, Ricky Pierce never gets any talk at all, he was always underrated in my opinion.

Vinnie "The Microwave" Johnson. He could score with the best of them, and could do it in a number of ways. Could have been a starter on any other team but choose to stay a Piston to win championships. He always had a strange looking jumpshot, but it didn't matter because the ball would always seem to find the bottom of the basket.

He won a 6th man of the year once, or twice (not sure).<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (BCB @ Jul 15 2006, 04:14 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Wow, it's Ballahollic showing off the fact that he knows some old school players....</div>and you never try to show off for knowing international prospects?
John Havlicek! Yes he started later on in his career but he was a 6th man for most of his career.Kevin Mchale was a 6th man too. Same thing he started later on but he was a 6th man. He won the 6th man award in '84 and '85
john salley haha im joking im going john havlicheck he or mchale or when bird came of the bench for have a season and was 2nd in mvp voting

Havlicek. As someone once said, he didn't start, he finished. And it's only the great ones that can finish games.

Was Havlicek really a 6th man for most of his career? I didn't think so, but if he was he'd be on top of my list.
Bobby Jones is who I'm thinking of. He was a great shooter. He was a big part of the Sixers even though he was on the bench. He was a productive scorer for the Sixers.
