Four months later Greg Oden goes down with his second MF surgery and you don't hear another peep out of CP3's camp about Portland.

    Coincidence?

The Mavs don't have the assets and neither do the Knicks or Magic.

Hypothetically speaking, could the Blazer still be a darkhorse to land Paul?

The roster from June 2010 to December 2011 is A LOT different but there are some positives.

Brandon Roy is out and so is the soft jump-shooting version of LaMarcus Aldridge. We now have a legit top-5 PF and plays both ends of the floor at a very high level. Greg is also close to being healthy. Though, this all depends on what we'd have to give up.

For example, this is the deal that nearly happened between Portland and New Orleans last June (2010):

If you were one of the three best point guards of your generation, wouldn't you want to play for a team that had legit offensive options to pass to? Magic had Kareem and Worthy. Is it too much for him to ask for Melo and Amare, neither of whom are as good as Kareem or Worthy?

As for him coming to Portland, I've moved on. I think Felton is gonna surprise you guys.

I think that's a moot point. Literally the only way the Knicks can land him is through FA next summer. Will CP3 accept a contract $50M less than what he'd get in a sign-and-trade? He'll get dealt, just not for garbage (ie the Knicks roster).

We don't need another All-Star guard with gimpy knees and a huge contract.

With his knee I have NO interest, especially for a guy whose game is built on speed

Of course, you're the guy that said Yi was about to bust out as an all star two years ago, right? Here's hoping your wild ass guess about Felton is better than your prediction about Yi.

Felton's already surprised me with his ability to become spherical.

I'm just wondering how he ate the 3-course bubble gum without turning blue.

Well one reason there was no peep was because he didn't play well until I believe the end of the year. But we also need to remember when we put together our wish lists, is which players would re-sign with Portland. I love CP3's talent, but I don't really like him. Can't pin point exactly why, but he seems to be a major prima donna. And I doubt he would have resigned.

If the Clippers add Gordon and the Wolves 2012 pick I don't see how any other team could compete with that offer. Knowing how Donald Sterling works, I bet he throws a lowball offer.

The Knicks and their beat writers pondering different CP3/Knick scenarios is insulting to the Hornets and the NBA. You could sprinkle glitter on shit but it's still a piece of shit.
