I'll be honest - No way I read 8 pages lol, but I read pages 1 and 8, and besides the (again) rediculous lashing out, I saw the offer.Josh Smith, Williams/Harrington for AI? To tell you the truth, that's a much better deal than Billy Knight is going to get from Danny Ainge. That's probably also better than what Chris Mullin is willing to give up. I say this is pretty much as good a deal as Philly is gunna get for AI. I mean sure, AI would not be happy and he would win less games in Atlanta, maybe. But from the view of Billy King, if I'm him, I pull the trigger on this deal.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (BALLAHOLLIC @ Jul 9 2006, 07:40 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>The Atlanta Hawks offered Josh Smith, Marvin Williams and/or Al Harrington for Allen Iverson. That is a major steal for the 76ers. Smith averaged 16 ppg, 8 rpg, 4 apg, and 3 bpg the last 20 games of the season and he is only 21 years old. Marvin Williams has tons of potential and Harrington can contribute right now.If I were Billy King, I would pull the trigger on this deal.http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/414..._allen_iverson/</div>If it's all 3 of them then I would def do that trade no matter how much I want AI to stay I know AI won't stay anyway with our gm being stupid.AI does care about winning how many times does he play injured? A lot of times, and most players would not play with the injuries AI plays with. And he does not care? You got to be kidding me.<span style="color:#FF0000">WATCH THE LANGUAGE AND THE INSLULTS</span> -kingjamez

but there is also no way in hell we will give up want King wants (Al, Green, and Telfair). King will either have to lower his standards a little bit or AI may end up in Philly next year. Weird, huh? [IMG]

You know what though, Iverson is currently living in Atlanta "waiting for the trade situation to play itself out." Does Iverson know something we don't...

Maybe a trade with Minny get Foye, Davis, Hassell, and Griffen? hehe never know not impossible. And King should lower his standards for AI? Umm he should make the standards higher not lower them. I know we won't get = value back for AI, but damn it has to be something good not just junk. And I am sure most fans would be happy if AI stayed like 70% of the Philly fans would be happy if AI stayed.

But since he is from there unless he just bought a place down there I don't think it means much if AI had a house up there already before, and did not just buy it.I don't think he knows something we don't Billy King would want the best offer. And if it was up to AI even though he is from ATL I still think he would not go there. When he could go to Denver play with Melo, Boston play with Pierce, Minny play with KG, and w/e else is better then ATL.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (BigMo763 @ Jul 13 2006, 04:26 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>But remember... it's Billy King we're talking about here... he'd probably trade Iverson for a year's supply of Burger King.</div>HAHA exactly that is why I been saying to everyone for the past half a year this guy needs to be fired either way if you trade AI, or keep him. Because he sucked building around AI, and won't make the best trade for him probably get sucky players back so he can't be trusted to rebuild either.

This would make Al Harrington a possible reserve PF. Josh Smith might fit in well with the Sixers lineup, not sure though. AI would go into Atlanta and put SClaxton on the bench, when the Hawks signed him so he could start.

You can trade Claxton if AI would come to ATL then.

Speedy and AI are good friends. I don't think Speedy would mind playing behind Iverson, but then again I would assume that the Hawks would run a line-up like dogmatist said:PG - SpeedySG - AISF - JJPF - Marvin Williams (assuming Harrington is traded, and they don't get Murphy in return)C - Pachulia

LOL But I mean come on that team is worse then if AI stayed with the Sixers. If he stays with the Sixer it be:PG - IversonSG - CarneySF - IguodalaPF - Webber (I hate this, but I don't think we would not be able to trade him unless we get very lucky with the NY gm) lolC - SammyWith that we make the playoffs Carney will make our D better no Korver starting for sure unless we get injurys. That team would probably get knocked out in the 1st round, but ATL would not even be close to the playoffs I think. Not sure why AI would want this even though it's his home town. If I was AI I would tell Billy King, and everyone else make it clear he does not wanna go to teams like ATL, Golden State, and teams that can's even get in the playoffs. Let BK know he want's to go to teams like Minny (to play with kg), Denver (to play with Melo), Clippers (to play with Brand), Memphis (to play with Pau Gasol), or even Bost (to play with Pierce even they can get into the playoffs then)

The plan as of right now is to have Carney come off the bench, and give Willie Green and Kevin Ollie (possibly even Jay Williams if he signs with us) compete for the other starting spot. This is assuming that Iverson is not traded, of course...

But I think Carney should maybe start with his D, and he can make shots also.
