Interesting commentary at the end there. Chad mentioned the word "extension" when referring to GO, rather than a QO.
What we learned: Roy will be a Blazer this season Sounds like Greg wants to be here and the Blazers want to sign him long term
Over/under on how many days into training camp before Roy says he just needs to get into a rhythm with Felton and Ray needs to learn to play off the ball more? ...
I've been for keeping Roy but what worries me is he'll play all year and be great and then we'll lose him for the playoffs cuz he'll break down.
it "works" for a while especially if you are not playin minutes like you would in an NBA game and practices, be warned that Roy may look good the first 2-4 weeks and then we'll see how the daily grind effects those bone on bone knees
Cynical would have been if I'd made it up. Creating betting odds is about past behavior/events and predicting future results.
BTW They said Roy said he feels better coming into this year compared to last year But didn't Roy say he felt great coming in last year? That he lost weight and recovering from the surgery and he got his legs back after off-season workouts? I'm going to go look for old articles. Roy spinning some shit here most likely.
That didn't take long http://www.hoopsnotes.com/teams/portland/guard-brandon-roys-knee-is-feeling-great/ Roy is selling his shit to the Blazers and they're buying it all up
Nate is a fucking idiot.... Yeah let's start Roy and play him 30+ minutes a night to see him put up 6-8 points and play "ole!" defense 3 out of every 4 nights....This organization is clueless and hopeless.... Make sure you run the slow down offense through Brandon, Nate....Aldridge clearly operates best when he is 2nd fiddle..... and Brandon is bi-polar I swear, he says all the right things...team player...ok with coming off the bench....but when the season starts and Nate shows he actually has some balls and benches Roy when he isn't playing well....then, well, Brandon will start singing a different tune...whining about why he isn't playing (getting his minutes)...whining about why the offense isn't run through him...etc etc...fucking broken record....just like last year......
Like I said earlier in another thread, IF they keep Brandon then that means he is healthy. (For now) And if he is healthy then I pefer he starts and plays with better players as oppossed to coming off the bench. I see Brandon as a complimentary player. I see Wes as more of a spark off the bench. This is not a debate about keeping or cutting him, but my opinion where he would fit in best if he is on the team. He does not play well off the bench. He still is only going to get about 24 minutes if he does start, unless he is playing well that night. But the next night Wes could get more.
