    much to do about nothing? Isn't "injured" the same as his knees acting up? though a couple of weeks probably won't be enough to tell, give it 2-3 weeks of regular season play and then lets see where it's at and amnesty won't be available then.

    What's there to say that hasn't already been said? I don't want to speak for MM, but my guess is that this could be bad for team chemistry but at least amnesty is still an option down the line if his wheels completely fall off.

    if that happens then one could say we at least partially wasted this season, did not get a full MLE to build toward the future, limited ourselves in trades because we will be over the tax, and perhaps stunted/delayed the growth, chemistry and development of those players that are our future.

    There may be a rather significant cost to this decision.

    Yes, that could all end up being true ... the parallel universe where Roy got amnestied probably looks much different (ie. I hear we all got flying cars and the cure for cancer in that version of reality, but c'est la vie')
