Four days after blowing a 17-point first-half lead and losing by two points at home to Creighton, Chase Tapley and the San Diego State Aztecs came up big in outlasting California (No. 23 ESPN/USA Today, No. 24 AP). Tapley scored 25 points, including two free throws with 8.6 seconds left, to lead the Aztecs to a 64-63 victory Sunday, their second win over the Golden Bears in as many seasons.
