It's probably been done before but whoe cares. :boogie: I'm going with the obvious choice of Sam Cassel even throughout the playoffs you saw him friendly with everyone even Denver's coach and he was telling young guys like Kaman tips and stuff even through the game. He knows how to conduct the offense and knows his Xs and Os and can always get to the open man. I remember one game where Kobe slapped him on the butt after he made a 3. And there was a mike on him and he was just saying funny stuff and talking to the refs, he's a frienly guy.I think he'd make a perfect coach.Who are your choices?

Jason Kidd would make a great coach, as well as Gary Payton. Darrell Armstrong too, even though he doesnt play a lot with the Mavs, he's a real student of the game. He understands it very well and has a high basketball IQ, too.

Zards, move this to Basketball Misc...I think Jason Kidd would make a good coach, also Chauncey Billups. Both very smart basketball players.

He talks alot of trash and probably expects alot from his players, you sure he wouldn't be too harsh on his players like what MJ was to Kwame?

I think Chris Duhon would make a good NBA coach someday. He is a very smart player and he seems to be very itelligent to me(just a baseless observation though).

Derek Fisher would probably be a decent coahc. He is a good leader, he knows the game well, and he's a very likeable guy.

Derek Fisher, Shane Battier, and Sam Cassell all sound good to me. As well as Armstrong.

I'd say any bench warming player on a good team. Go ahead and look at every good players coaching career, besides Larry Bird and Michael really, every other good player has sucked (see Isiah). It's not really easy to decide who will make a good coach but I'd say LeBron after his career is over, the way he already leads that team is amazing.

Darrell Armstrong maybe?Bruce Bowen, Tim Duncan, Michael Finley. These guys are smart players and they arent pot addicts either; they're pretty good people. I think a few of these guys could coach if they wanted to.

I agree for some reason he just seems like he would be a good coach. Not sure about the others you mentioned though. I can't really see any of them as coaches.

Grant Hill will make a good coach(he def. has experience on the bench). I agree that Darrell Armstrong would be good as well.
