The NBA is considering pushing back the start of training camps until Monday, multiple league executives told Yahoo! Sports. The league office was polling team executives over the past 48 hours about the possibility, sources said. Despite the discussions, no final decision has been made. “Teams with just a handful of guys under contract have been complaining that it’s going to be too difficult to start on Friday,” one league executive said. There are also concerns about the so-called “B-list” issues in collective bargaining talks finishing in time for the players to take a vote. The owners have a Board of Governors meeting scheduled for Thursday. The NBA’s preseason starts Dec. 16, with each team playing two games against regional rivals. The regular season starts Dec. 25.
You mean not using the amnesty clause on Roy might all have just been a bad dream? Is there really a chance the league can save the Blazers from themselves and not have a season?
At thanksgiving it was depressing thinking there would be no season, now its depressing thinking could be a season of hobbled roy, pryzbila, and oden setbacks. More Larry Miller press conferences fighting with John Canzano though.... those are always entertaining. Oh and the rah rahs vs the anti rah rah here.
This would make some sense, I was very surprised they planned on having FA sign and training camp open the same day. If they can keep the schedule with FA starting up on the 9th that should allow a few guys to finish physicals and get some signings out of the way for camp to start. Either way I expect to see some sloppy basketball at the start of this season. It'll be interesting to see what guys sat on their ass Vin Baker, Shawn Kemp style and struggle for months.

Im not angry brotha! Im just not buying into what the team is doing. I want upgrades, not fan favorites brought in.
Everybody wants upgrades. Every season everybody wants there team to get better. But I just don't understand how people can just kill their favorite team when things aren't going right. Been a fan my whole life, could never hate on these guys no matter what the situation is.
