Will Maurice Ager start? or will the mavericks trade/look into free agency? I keep hearing K-Mart rumors think there's any truth to them?"NBACW: The Mavericks will stand pat for the most part and won't touch the core group that got to the Finals.Maybe. So why are they trying so hard to get Kenyon Martin from Denver? They won't be able to acquire Martin for D.J. Mbenga, let's just put it that way.You hear that the Nuggets are interested and wouldn't mind dealing Martin within the Western Conference. The problem is that Denver covets Jerry Stackhouse in return, and Dallas is loath to move its aggressive sixth man in any deal at the moment. The Mavericks did just get Austin Croshere from Indiana for Marquis Daniels, but they can't trade Croshere again as part of a package for two months under existing rules""Mavericks Chasing Kenyon Martin? 9th July, 2006 - 6:57 pm Philadelphia Inquirer - Are the Dallas Mavericks pushing hard to acquire Nugget Kenyon Martin? While the Mavs have said they want to keep their core together, this is exactly what they are doing, according to David Aldridge at the Philadelphia Inquirer." Spite what people say I'd like to see Kenyon in a Mavericks jersey next year.

Jason Terry starting at PG and Devin Harris starting at SG worked pretty well during the playoffs.

? Weird question, I'm pretty sure Mavs roll out with the same two guard lineup they did to finish out the season. Devin Harris and Jason Terry. Terry the 2 on offense, Harris the 1. Harris the 2 on defense, Terry the 1. And that's even if we get Mike James. And no I don't think there's any truth to the Kmart rumors because we've heard them as Mavs fans for the past few years. And they never come to fruition, in fact no trade has been let out in the media beforehand when Mavs make a deal. It's always a deal that involves no one in any rumors and comes out of nowhere. Just like the Croshere deal. Also, Donnie said were not overhauling the team, getting Kmart does, so why would he lie.

I guess but Neither Terry or Harris was X-tremely good at defending SGs this past season one option i didn't think about is Adrian Griffin. Think he'll start?

Harris did ok, he just didn't get the benefit of the calls. Griffin is a free agent and there's no word on if he comes back yet. I hope he does, if we need to cut Rawle to do so.

Already resigned Terry... Van Horn was a big expiring, we're not getting him back... Will probably give Mbenga a small deal... Griffin should be back... and Armstrong's old behind should retire.

We've got Terry and Mbenga back. I'd like to see Armstrong and Griffin return, as well. If Armstrong's retiring then maybe we could get him to replace the assistant coach that left. Our starting SG is probably going to rotate between Terry and Griffin, or James maybe if we get him. Stack could get some starts, as well.

I think we'll have a better understanding of who between Griff and DA comes back after this whole James deal ends. I want both back, but we don't really have the roster room unless we cut Rawle, because even if we don't sign James, it's clear Mavs want to bring in another guard. Those two will be the last on the priority list though, so don't expect to hear anything until we resolve our other free agency aquisition. As stated above me, Benga and Terry already agreed to terms and are coming back. Croshere makes Van Horn redundant and won't be back, which is a good thing. That leaves DA and Griff, with options on Powell and Rawle. So far from summer league performances, Rawle is on the bubble.

ROK, can Marshall play? Would you rather them sign a rookie point guard like Larry O'Bannon or younger player like Grunder over DA?

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>ROK, can Marshall play? He scored a lot but he did it at the expense of his teammates. I can see why Mavs like him because he does have some talent but I don't think he's needed because of Maurice Ager. I rather bring back Griff over Rawle. I don't know about a third string pg, if they want to bring in one, I'd like John Lucas Jr. but I think if we bring in James, DA can man the emergency pg minutes. Even if we don't sign James, I rather bring in someone with experience, then a young pg for emergency.

I know we'll see tons of the 2 PG lineup we saw in the playoffs...but I think the Starter at SG will be either Griff or Buckner, with Ager still getting some minutes, as I've said before.

I think it will be Adrian Griffin again. He is a good defensive player, and then you have scorers off the bench like Stackhouse and Harris. I think Adrian Griffin will probably re-sign. I havnt heard any rumours about teams interested in him.

They did play their best basketball during the regular season with Griff as the starter...allthough it wans't the best one in the playoffs.

Mavs were up 2-1 against the Heat with Griffin starting and 0-3 with Harris starting so I think the mavs will stick with Terry and Buckner or Griffin. It depends who earns it in training I figure.

Oh yeah, I in know way think we should start Harris/Terry at any time, except maybe against the Spurs.
