Maybe its who they are making him defend, but he has totaled 16 fouls in 2 games. I don't know how many offensive fouls he had. Defensive fouls happen when you are out of position, often you are out of position becuase you are lazy or too slow. As a result, the offensive player may(and should) "attack" you; you are out of position so you cant draw a charge so you get a blocking foul. Another is when you reach for steals instead of moving your feet to get into a better position, you can easily foul that way and get burned. I havent seen him play so thats what im guessing. 16 fouls...
Yeah that's an area that he knows he needs to work on. Hopefully the coaching staff can help him with that.
I agree. He got 10 fouls against the Kings. He needs to learn a) how to play Defense in the NBA, and to stop fouling people.

Except it's cool because Bargnani can score points, and he isnt standing around with that retard expression with the wigger headband lol.
Well its only summer league so you cant foul out, so I guess players dont shy away from challanging a shot.
I'm still wary about him though. No normal player gets 10 PF's in one game. That's not good. He really has to work on his defense...
Actually 10 fouls is the limit in the summer league. he fouled out with 1:37 left to play, and he was the first player to foul out in the summer league.

I'm not buying that. No one would send someone to the line for easy buckets even if they cant foul out until 10 PF's. They should seriously change that rule, and put it down to 6. Stupid rule...

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (CB4AllStar @ Jul 10 2006, 10:02 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>10 is a bit excessive though. Im not completely buying that he did this on purpose.</div>Who would foul 10 times on purpose? Nobody! He was just going at it hard, and being agressive..When you got a rule like that take advantage, don't think he has fouling issues like that..
He hasnt played good D anyway, so it doesnt even matter if he was fouling because of the limit. He let Pecherov on the Wizards score 15 points..
Isnt Pecherov suppose to be a good player? Anyways I hope this isnt really an issue come the beginning of the NBA season, unless he is really lazy on defense, but I dont think coach Mitchell will let Bargnani start playing against All-Star caliber players. I think they'll slowly increase Bargnani's minutes as the season progresses and hopefully give him a starting position. Im really rooting for this guy they call 'the Magician,' hope he blossoms into a player of allstar caliber
