That is essentially the strength of schedule for just six games, though. If he would have taken into account the road games missed vs good opponents, that would have been nicer. (we miss out on visiting MIA, ORL, CHA, CLE, NJ, PHL, which does seem good for us).
Real fans wouldn't want to put up with all the Boston fans at that game... woof, what a bunch of dogs!
I don't know what it is about those Boston tickets, but those are the tickets that always sell the quickest and for the most money. I asked one person who bought them and he said there are Celtic fans scattered throughout the US and they are very passionate about their team. The tough one for me is the Laker game. I almost always go, but get offered a lot for those tickets as well. Can always sell the Knicks, Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas games too, but nothing compares to the Celtics (not even Knicks) when I'm seeling the tickets. (Personally I sell tickets to try and help recover some of the cost of the entire season ticket package)
I adhere to that with my Timbers tickets since the price of the entire season is less than $400. With the Blazers, it just costs so much more with ticket prices as well as the number of games. Used 40 tickets last year with some in the Lexus Level (alot of mgb's as well), row 6 for Game 6 vs Dallas, and going to the Miami game for a total of $800. My kids appreciated me investing the saved money in their Guaranteed Education Credits and Portland International School tuition. I did get a pair in the red this year to use every game without worry of the financial implications though.
FWIW- ticket rep said that there is a large number of season ticket holders who have decided not to renew this year. If anyone is interested in season tickets, this would be a good year to get in. Don't know if that is a selling strategy they are implementing this year, but she has never told me this before.
Yep. I maintained my season tickets when I moved. I could usually get up to see them about 4 times a year, and gave the others to people
My eyes are brown, but I'm not full of shit. Why in the world would anyone lie about having season tickets, and then giving them up because of the economy? Seriously, Mick? You might have an axe to grind, or you're unhappy at home, or whatever, but jeez?
Same kind of person that says they have a scout friend.... No axe to grind, I'm happy as a clam. I just call BS when I see it.
The shot was too quick; if you play it back in slow motion, you'll see the guy was tattooing the logo onto Greg Oden's dick.
I had ST for 3 years living in Seattle, going to 10-15 games a year, and giving away or selling the rest. What's so difficult to believe about that?
Houston and Seattle are the same distance from Portland, I forgot.... I've posted with MM on message boards for almost 10 years, its a culmination of stories, not necessarily one.
My wife and I's families still live in Portland. I am up there all the time.....Well not since June, but anyway.
Just realized in January we will play 9 games in only 12 days! That is crazy! Whether you want to see our rookies or not you WILL during that stretch!
