He was actually laying out the economics of the deal pretty well. Dumping the crap contract of Gasol and getting CP3 is too lopsided for a team owned by the rest of the league to abide.

I don't believe Buford has any say. The Spurs' owner Peter Holt was actually one of the faces of the so called hardliners during the CBA negotiations.
As an owner of the Hornets (as he mentioned he was), should he not look into the best interests of that team? His complaints in that letter all had to do with how LA got all the benefits.
