Recently Forrest Griffin made a joke on Twitter saying "rape is the new missionary", which drew the ire of fans, constantly outraged PC police, and Dana White, but didn't result in any formal punishment. Likewise, Rashad Evans said at the UFC on FOX presser that he would "put his hands [on Phil Davis] worse than Sandusky did on those kids at Penn State", which outraged Dana White but didn't result in any punishment, either. Well, you can guess what is next: Miguel Torres, who Tweeted "if a rape van was called a surprise van more women wouldn't mind going for rides in them. Everyone likes surprises," has been cut from the UFC outright. Now if this isn't setting the standard for double-standards...
Joe Rogan recently Tweeted that it was ok for a hot older woman to rape a young boy (13), because of the fantasy aspect.
The "rape van" joke is apparently from either Always Sunny or Workaholics, not from the mind of Torres himself. I have a feeling this will play out like the once-upon-a-time Jon Fitch firing, with cooler heads prevailing.
I certainly suspect that Dana will bring him back soon. Just making a statement to the fighters that they need to stop making rape jokes on twitter lol.
