2 cases suggest this.... Over the summer he recruited Jamal Crawford openly on twitter. Second, on Monday he was very short on Brandon. Making it sound like he and the team were moving on. Sounded like a disconnect from LA and Roy. Better get Crawford on the line... quick!
I don't think he knew Roy was going to retire today, but he did know Roy couldn’t play at his own charity event in Seattle, didn’t play in Aldridge’s charity event in Portland, and didn’t work out with any of the teammates that were getting together for workouts in the off-season. I speculate he knew it was very unlikely Roy would be on the team longer then this final lockout season so what else can he really say? The media was pushing LaMarcus to make a bold statement blindly supporting Roy and painting management in an evil corner if they used the amnesty. LMA isn’t going to do that to the owner signing his paycheck and he also isn’t going to bad mouth his buddy Roy.
Either participate in the thread or don't. There's no reason to try to sidetrack it by making it about specific posters. Ed O.
Is this really such a terrible question? That's all you people have is shouting "MIXUM" every time Brock posts something? In any case, I don't think Aldridge knew anything ... hell, I don't even think Roy knew for sure until very, very recently.
a terrible question? its an amazing question! i mean think of the possibilities... LMA knew all along and didnt say anything or he didnt whoa, mind blown
I don't believe I said anything about the question, my point was that not every question needs it's own thread. However I do appologize to Brock for calling him out. It was premature of me to insinuate that he was being an attention whore for doing so. It was uncalled for and I was wrong to assume he was just trying to stir things up.
Just curious what the whole press conference thing was about the other day. None of those guys up there knew anything about this, right?
That is the most interesting thing (not that it all amounts to much): who (including Aldridge, the front office, et al) knew Roy was going to do this, and when? I'm curious. Not to point fingers or anything, but just to know. Ed O.
