Does Roy retiring help Batum's contract negotiations?

    I haven't seen any numbers discussed on Batum's new contract but Roy retiring has to help him out immensely.

    Hard to say.

    If Batum's agent is looking for a deal that starts at around the same price as his cap hold for next year then it helps.

    If it is more, than waiting might be beneficial in order to preserve space.
