<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Charity work -- With four to five games per day on the summer-league slate, the Kings have slowed down the action a bit en route to going 3-0, and Kevin Martin is to blame. The shooting guard has spent loads of time at the free-throw line, including Sunday's 20-for-24 effort as he finished with 27 points. While Martin has had a knack for drawing fouls since his high school days in Zanesville, Ohio, he's been watching video of Miami's Dwyane Wade and apparently is a quick study."He's done a great job of lifting, shot fake and jumping into the defender," Kings coach Eric Musselman said. "If he can play like Dwyane Wade, we'll take it. Both are good off the dribble and pretty crafty getting open, too. He's done a great job of drawing fouls."</div>LINK hey this comparison is legit hahaha. but if Dwade was in summer league hed be averaging 50ppg or something.
I think they play similarly but he is no Dwade im sorry... good stats in those games arnt proof of anything
LOL. Kevin Martin the next Dwyane Wade? Sorry, but he does not even have close to the amount of talent Wade has. He does do a good job driving, but come on. DWade is the best slasher in the League, and scores a ton more ppg then Martin. Don't get me wrong, I think Martin will be a good player. I like him, but he is no Dwyane Wade.
Well that's not what the article was saying. It was saying he had similarities in his game, not that he is gonna be the caliber of Wade.
Kevin Martin is a really great player, no doubt and he is really underrated. However, comparing him to Dwyane Wade is a little too far.
Well, that's not normally how Kevin plays. He's a good shooter and all, but he shouldn't be getting to the line that much. those refs must have really liked him. :winkglasses:
Martin is obviously does not have the potential to be any Dwyane Wade. Maybe he played like Wade in that game but obviously not going to be a Wade type of player.I became a fan of Martin last season when he started to actually get playing time. He really proved that he can play. I think he will be a great player eventually but I really don't think he will become any type of all-star. Probably a player like Jason Richardson. Great player but not all-star type.
He is a potential starter for the kings but he is not strong enough at this point to be a really good player. He needs to bulk up.
