In one day our team lost it's complete nucleus of stars. On 12-9-2011 BRoy files for medical retirement, Oden is set back "YET ANOTHER SEASON" and LA has a heart condition. What are the chances??!!??!! This is like the curse of the Bambino! For us.... it's the curse of Jordan coming back like the rain! No other team could have been hit harder with injuries in one day, one year, hell one half decade, some might say well atleast we'll have some cash to make a dash at some talent but where? All the talent is now begging to go to Miami, LA and NYC... I hope Batum, Wallace and Mathews are rested because it's all on them now! What a crazy day!!!
Once you get past the shock of what just happened yesterday, is this team really fundamentally any different than it was the day before? Roy's knees and his ability to sustain great play were going to be a huge question marks. Oden hasn't played in years (literally) and with his looming free agency there were no guarantees he'd be here next year and healthy. Maybe I'm way off here, but I really believe yesterday adds clarity for the team, and that's been in desperately short supply the past year or so.
I would agree except for LA... I too think Roy was done, GO a huge?????? That said, I felt we would atleast have a double double guy in LA.... Than the heart issue comes back for another curtain call... this will also be a stumbling block if LA is to ever be traded.. So, clarity with a bit of what the hell! HAHA!
Everybody including me is clicking on this to see what happened in October. Don't change the title, it's making Denny money.
