I could also agree with that. The league should have given the Hornet GM the directive to get younger though. Gasol and Odom is pretty good compensation compared to what Miami gave up for Bosh/Lebron, but would personally take what Denver and Utah got out of their stars.
How do all these teams like Boston always find ways to add players but all we get here is we are over the cap??? Rondo, Garnett, Pierce, and Allen.... yet they can get get David West and resign Jeff Green??????
what I really don't get is what incentive did NO receive to do this? Take on Oneal's useless 6.5 mil contract - why? was there some other compensation?
yeah this west deal is kinda fucked, i saw that on esnp and was like "arent they way the fuck over the cap...???" so what is the deal exactly?
Interesting. Watched on espn that the Tyson chandler to new York will be a sign and trade, freeing up money to Dallas. They are rumored to make a run for Howard. If I was Howard and I could pair dirk with him and possibly Williams next season, I may just consider it.
Other teams like NY, Boston, LA. Rest of the league is doing about as much as the Blazers . . . not much.
I despise the thug attitude of Bynum but if we paired him with LaMarcus that could be the twin towers we've dreamed of Oden being a part of. Bynum has loose ligaments in his knees so if he ends up injured and the curse continues where would we go from there? Not sure what talent they'd want, I'd assume Batum, Freeland, maybe something else? Then they could flip that talent in a Paul or Howard trade.
Bynum has this yr at 14.9 mil and next is a team option at 16 mil or so, bad knee risk? Hmmm maybe not. Send him to Indy and maybe we can get Hibbert
I guess I have no problem with that as long as the pieces he's referring to are Oden's and Roy's knees.
