He'll be the cheapest of the three. Funny how coveted Chandler and JAMAL have become. Is Hinirch even under contract right now? I'd take him back at the 2 for an off the bench role.
I understand the Chandler love...he's 29, a legit starting center and coming off an excellent season. Crawford I don't get so much. He'll be 32 later this season, is best used off the bench and is coming off kind of a meh season. Hinrich is on the last year of the 5-year contract he signed here. He'll make $8.1mil this season.

I'd be happy to trade for Kirk if he weren't injured currently. I believe he'll be sidelined until mid-season, and if that's the case, it's best to wait until next year and go after him as a free agent.
Yeah, Chandler is really good. As for Crawford, he seems to fit what the Bulls needed based on the last playoff series. A normal sized 2 guard that can create his own shot and score from long distance as well. Last season was a decline though for whatever reason. His game was validated league wide the season before when he pulled in the NBA Sixth Man of the Year award for a playoff team. Thibs would get the most out of him. There isn't a perfect player walking in the door at the $$$ the Bulls are likely offering and based on availability. Crawford, IMO, out of the guys I've read about in the media, when paired with Brewer, seems like the best fit. Ah, didn't realize he was still making money off that Bulls contract. Nice work if you can get it.
I din't care much for J Craw when he was a Bull but he's matured into a solid player and as long as he's cool with playing 2 guard I'd sign him in a second. I liked Captain Kirk but at his going price he's not a value player.
That's a pretty good comparison. But if they did happen to find a way to land Paul that would be a hella dangerous team.
For the record I just want to state that in my opinion David Stern has long passed the threshold from being a commissioner good for the league to a megalomaniac leading the league into chaos with his ego and hubris...and dare I say it, chutzpah). Time for a change (and a long time coming).
People jumped all over Stern for the Paul-Lakers thing. But it turns out he was right, and most people were wrong. Stern comes off looking like a genius.
