Probably smoke screen or option Z. It was said by D Aldridge that these deals go back and forth like this is normal; it's just that twitter makes the rumors more public. Sometimes teams will toss out a bone, just to get people or other teams to not focus on the actual deal we want. We are talking about a team that really doesn't have a GM so anything is possible.

Isn't Josh a 3? I don't recall seeing him ever play SG. And aren't there some character issues too? This doesn't make sense to me. If Blazers do trade Wallace as the start of a partial rebuild, then why would you pull in Howard? He doesn't fit in age-wise or contract-wise for a rebuild.
I think we have a GM. I don't see a drop off from Cho to Chad. Is that saying much? No but for all intents and purposes, we do have one.
The Blazer "GM" is now simply a guy who gets fired when Paul Allen's anger boils over because of Bert Kolde's blunders. Think of the Blazer "GM" as the medieval whipping boy, who would get punished for the misdeeds of a prince, a role played in this organization by one Bert Kolde.
