I guess I don't understand your logic then. If he's productive AND on a cheap contract, why in the world would Phoenix want to part with him? Isn't "cheap and good" pretty much the holy grail in professional sports?
Well, he's not productive yet. He's shown flashes. But remember, Przybilla was hot garbage his first five years in the League. Lopez has solid defensive instincts. He's just not consistent at all. Will take a while to develop, like Przybilla.
I guess my recollection of Robin Lopez's play is a little hazy, I thought he was doing pretty well as a defensive big for Phoenix.
Thats what I remember. Phoenix is not going to just give him away for cheap to us, he is their center of the future.
Why do people still quote or put links up from anything that clown types! Sorry Fez, don't want to give that hack credit for me going to his website!
I would prefer having Carl Landry on our roster next season. However, I think he is staying in NO, and was just waiting for the CP3 crazyness to wrap up before inking a new deal. Probably 4 years for $29 million or so. But lets say we can sign him, he is going to want max MLE, 4 years $21 million. We can get Crawford on a one year contract, between those two options that tilts the scales towards Crawford IMO if we have the choice. Not being locked into a multi-year contract is a huge benefit. Some of our other big MLE acquisitions are guys like Derek Anderson, Ruben Patterson which often don't work out. Crawford's contract has much less downside. Although either player would be an awesome addition to our bench and I would sign either this second if they were willing. I think both are good values worth more then the price of their contract.
I swear to Allah.... this will be the first thing I read from him in 2 years, but I trust you cause you aren't white! Standby......
I actually just cracked on him on twitter! Friend of mine re-tweeted something from him and I tweeted this...... jcluke2....... @JohnCanzanoBFT @StefanMarineau: Quit retweeting this tool! He had to of seen it.
Nothing stops us from making a sign and trade though and it won't matter what we have, as long as we have a player that will make sense. Do you think Camby would work? I think Camby is a better fit for NO than Kaman; then they can use Kaman to grab another player they need.
http://www.oregonlive.com/blazers/index.ssf/2011/12/trail_blazers_figure_to_get_an.html This paragraph from Quick does not really make sense to me: “With Sacramento, it’s not just about the money,’’ Crawford said. “They have a lot of young talent, and I’m a big fan of Coach (Paul) Westphal. But with Portland, I feel I can really help in the backcourt by being another creator, another scorer. And I’ve known Nate (McMillan) since I was 16. I’m honestly torn.’’ What is there to be torn about? You are closer to home, you have friends on the team, you have more Vets on the team that you can relate to, (Evan/Cousins or LMA/Felton??) and IMO you will get more minutes. To me it seems an easy decision. So I guess that means he will choose Sacramento..........
In Sacto, he can have more of a leadership role, and he will be able to play at a pace that suits his game better.
