If Orlando does really well this season, then they maybe able to sign Howard. If they sign Howard, then the Lakers and New Jersey are out of luck. This can domino for us because this may make New Jersey very desparate to trade D. Will before the trade deadline. No Howard, would insure that D. Will will likely bolt. But looking at this in a "fan's perscpective" Howard doesn't bolt on the fans. Orlando won't have to rebuild and they can finally move forward without the distraction that they may lose their superstar.
Yes I maybe dreaming about getting D. Will; but I bet Clipper fans were dreaming about Chris Paul too. Sometimes the Basketball Gods throw you a bone. Regardless, it would be good for the NBA if Howard stays in Orlando. Maybe not from a marketing standpoint; but giving hope to smaller markets that you can keep your superstar.
I don't want D. Will to bolt. Keep him out of Dallas. I don't want Howard to bolt either. Keep himout of LA. So I will root for both.
I hope we can help facilitate a trade that sends Howard to Brooklyn. Lakers striking out on CP3 and Howard would be epic.
Again, Howard isn't necessarily going to make the Lakers better this year. It is just an amazing long-term move for them. Pau Gasol and Bynum seem like fair compensation.
Keep in mind that laker fans think their offer to Nola was better. It's called drinking too much purple and piss koolaide
OMG, just think... Both the Clippers West and East get some love. There should be a book written about this!
