15.5 PER presumably for vet. min. sounds good to me. He gives the team a dimension they don't have (without Oden playing, of course), which sounds great to me.
Smith averaged 10.1 PPG in only 19.7 minutes on 'sota in 08-09 while shooting 56% FG. He's regressed a little since then but still very efficient FG%.
he was all the rage according to PER a few years ago but kinda fell off the map, stoked though, this is exactly what i wanted A BIG THAT CAN SCORE DOWN LOW
I like this signing quite a bit. He can definitely score inside and he's not a terrible rebounder ... defense is a little shaky, but for what they are likely to pay him I'm down.
I like this move. I've liked all the moves that we've made this offseason. Smith isn't special by any means, but take him for what he is. Brings toughness to the team. I wonder if KG would get down and bark like a dog to this years Blazer squad.

Something happened last season in Clipperland. Too much time watching Blake throw down dunks? Anywho, this looks like a solid pickup for little money. Way better than Reggie - I only do one thing - Evans. Good move. Not spectacular. Not eartshattering. But, doesn't cost us lux tax money, or future flexibility, or trading young players/picks. Just like Crawford and Thomas. Nice job filling out the roster for this season.
